Playtech is among the first suppliers to enter the newly regulated iGaming market in Alberta, with the company launching in earnest in the province and ready to reap commercial success while bringing its player-favorite titles to the fore.
Among the games local operators will be able to offer their players are Mega Fire Blaze Roulette, Oink Oink Oink, Adventures Beyond Wonderland, and more.
Playtech has been meticulously building its game base and has focused on expanding in the North American market, with Alberta’s regulated market constituting a significant opportunity for the company to further scale and deliver on these efforts.
Playtech Chief Operating Officer, Shimon Akad, welcomed the opportunity to see the company get started in the local market from day one.
"We are pleased to be supporting our partners with some of our strongest-performing content and are committed to working closely with them as the market evolves, broadening our offering and helping them deliver engaging player experiences to support their long-term success."
Playtech Global Head of Government RegulationsCharmaine Hogan was similarly happy to welcome the opportunity to see the company enter early into the market and strengthen its positions in the regulated iGaming market in Canada, leading to further opportunities.
Playtech is happy to have repeated its previous strategy in Canada, as the supplier first entered the regulated iGaming market in the country on the first day of Ontario’s own online casino launch back in 2022.
Playtech has also been building its presence in the United States through individual deals with prominent casinos. The company signed a partnership with Fanatics Casino in April, launching its host of games with the prominent brand.
Similarly, Playtech pursued a separate deal with Ember Casino in New Jersey at the end of June.
