Playtech, one of the global leaders in iGaming product and technology development, and FanDuel, a seminal North American iGaming and sports betting company, have reached a new agreement to embark on a live dealer casino journey in Canada together.
As a result, the companies are introducing Live Casino content to FanDuel’s Canadian platform and operations, ensuring that both companies continue to innovate while expanding their presence in important markets.
Playtech VP Commercial George Voyatzis welcomed this fresh business expansion and hailed its significance for the business in North America, Playtech has long been interested in growing in the market, and this opportunity with FanDuel crowns these efforts with success.
"As we build more studios globally and release new content, this announcement is yet another example of Live taking over the gambling industry on a global scale," Voyatzis explained.
To ensure the quality of the offer, Playtech has developed a dedicated Live Casino studio that will only cater to FanDuel Canada. The studio operates out of Riga, Latvia, and it has been designed with a Canadian customer base in mind, catering fully to the local market. Among the games that FanDuel players can experience as a result are Baccarat, All Bets Blackjack, 7-Seater Blackjack, Roulette, and more.
The offer will initially be available in Ontario. However, the Live Casino deal will extend and cover other provinces in Canada, giving both companies a very good foothold in what could potentially become a highly lucrative market in future.
FanDuel Canada GM Dale Hooper was also excited to see this partnership come through. The introduction of an innovative FanDuel Live casino studio that caters to Canadian audiences is a big step forward for the company as well.
"This unique proposition cements FanDuel’s premium position for online casino in the North American market," Hooper added. Playtech is also focusing on products such as its seminal Big Bad Wolf and AdventuresBeyond Wonderland which are other high-value product offers that local companies can benefit from.
The company has definitely made its presence in the North American market felt by now, as the company invested in NorthStar Gaming Inc at the beginning of the year and it also expanded with BetPARX in Maryland, as part of its North American pivot. In the meantime, the Canadian and US iGaming markets are expected to begin growing rapidly over the coming months and years.
