Playson secures ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification

The fast-growing supplier of iGaming content, renowned for its quality games available across the globe, Playson, announced an achieved an important security certification. The company revealed earlier this week that it has been granted an ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certificate, recognizing its relentless efforts toward regulatory compliance and ensuring the protection of sensitive information.

Playson's latest certification comes after a few years ago, the company obtained an ISO 27001:2013 certificate. However, the updated ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certificate recognizes a broader set of measures for safeguarding sensitive information. The certificate marks a major milestone for Playson as it represents a requirement for its future growth and expansion in a number of important regulated gambling markets across the globe.

Quinel awarded Playson with the latest certification that highlights the company's dedication toward the highest standards set by the International Organization for Standardization. Additionally, the iGaming supplier is recognized for its ability to mitigate information security risks effectively, while adhering to the regulatory and legal requirements in different jurisdictions.

Vsevolod Lapin, Playson's Deputy CEO, shared his excitement about the latest certificate in a statement released on Thursday. "The transition to ISO 2022 is welcome news for the business, and shows our continued dedication to compliance and regulation," he revealed. Additionally, Lapin pointed out: "Partners can rest assured of Playson's heightened security measures and adherence to international standards with us acquiring this certificate."

In conclusion, the executive explained: "Greece, Ontario and Sweden are vital territories for Playson, with this certification also necessary for the Swiss market, and I expect the ISO 2022 to be required for more jurisdictions in the future, so this recognition has been received at a good time as we look to strengthen our global standing."

The latest certification comes at a time when Playson anticipates further expansion across the globe. The company hopes to significantly grow its global reach, entering many new regions and regulated jurisdictions in the upcoming 12 months. Ultimately, this expansion is expected to reaffirm its position as a go-to supplier for the online gambling sector.

Back in April, Playson grew its Portuguese foothold via a partnership with the country's leading operator, Lebull.pt. Per the terms of that deal, the iGaming supplier agreed to deliver a section of its quality games, powering the operator's offering.
