OpenBet selects Sam Depoortere for VP of Platform Products role

The leading provider of services, content and technology, powering the global sports betting industry, OpenBet, announced a new senior-level appointment. The company confirmed Thursday it strengthened its C-suite with the addition of the seasoned executive, Sam Depoortere.

Joining OpenBet, he was appointed to the role of Vice President of Platform Products. The latest appointment comes at a time when the company anticipates further expansion and growth, fueled by Depoortere's expert advice and knowledge.

Taking the role of Vice President of Platform Products, he is expected to oversee the provider's platform solutions and product strategy. Depoortere will play an important role in expanding the reach of OpenBet's leading solutions.

Ultimately, under his guidance, the company expects to see its platform reach new partners, delivering efficient and scalable solutions. As a Vice President of Platform Products, Depoortere will report to OpenBet's Chief Product Officer, Nikos Konstakis.

Becoming a part of the C-suite at OpenBet brought excitement to Depoortere too. Before joining OpenBet, Depoortere was a part of TOTO (Sportsbook & Casino) at Nederlandse Loterij, the largest Dutch gambling operator. During that time, he held the role of Business Director, allowing him to obtain strategic experience and knowledge within the operation of casino, online and retail sportsbooks.

Depoortere's professional background includes a Marketing and Sportsbook Manager role with TOTO, as well as other senior-level roles with important brands for the vertical, including Media Odds and Betway. Leveraging this extensive experience is expected to help Depoortere in his new role at OpenBet.
