Octoplay recognized for security and compliance with ISO 27001 certification

The fast-growing supplier for the online gambling industry and leading studio, Octoplay, has announced it secured an important certification. The company confirmed it secured an ISO 27001 certification, recognizing its efforts and dedication toward information security, as well as compliance with regulations.

The ISO 27001 certification is an international standard for information security management. It is recognized around the globe and represents an important achievement for companies regardless of their size.

As a solid recognition reaffirming the efforts of companies toward information security, the certificate is a testament to the efforts of different businesses to protect the data of their customers and partners. When it comes to the gambling sector, ISO 27001 represents a milestone achievement for operators that is also favored by gambling regulators around the globe.

Earlier this year, other gambling operators secured the prestigious ISO 27001 certification. Back in April, ComeOn Group, the leading online gambling operator, confirmed it secured the important certification, recognizing its information security. The certification came as a testament to the effectiveness and compliance of ComeOn Group's Information Security Management System and also highlighted the company's efforts when it comes to data security and improving user experiences.

Before that, Evoplay, the award-winning online gambling provider, secured ISO 27701 certification early in April. This certification recognized the provider's efforts to comply with international regulations for privacy and safeguarding data.

Focusing once again on Octoplay's latest achievement, the company's Chief Executive Officer, Carl Ejlertsson, praised the importance of the ISO 27001 certification. "ISO 27001 is a fundamental step on our path to developing the industry’s leading gaming technology company," he said. Finally, Ejlertsson pointed out: "The certification makes securing regulatory approvals smoother and provides further objective assurance to our partners and regulators that we are committed to the highest of technical standards."

Back in April, Octoplay expanded its European footprint by obtaining an iGaming supplier license from Spelinspektionen, the Swedish gambling regulator. The license represented an important achievement for the company, complementing its long-term growth strategy. The Swedish iGaming supplier license helped Octoplay expand its reach after securing licenses in the United Kingdom, Malta, as well as Romania.

More recently, in May, Octoplay confirmed it has gone live with the leading casino operator, Rootz. The collaboration saw the iGaming developer agree to deliver content for the casino operator. As a result, customers of several brands, run by Rootz, were able to access engaging games from Octoplay.
