NOVOMATIC AG names Stefan Krenn member of Executive Board

The leading operator, producer and one of the largest gaming technology groups in the world, NOVOMATIC AG Group, announced a new senior-level appointment. The company confirmed last week that its Supervisory Board decided to appoint the seasoned gaming industry veteran and proven leader, Stefan Krenn, to the role of Member of the Executive Board. NOVOMATIC explained that the appointment is in effect as of February 15, 2024.

In his new role, Krenn will be a part of a three-person Executive Board. He will join Johannes Gratzl and Ryszard Presch, the two other members of the Executive Board of the international group. To the role as the newest Member of the Executive Board, Krenn brings extensive experience, unique skills and a deep understanding of the sector.

Currently, NOVOMATIC AG Group operates in more than 100 countries across the globe and has approximately 300 subsidiaries. For the 2022 financial year, the company generated €2.9bn in revenues. NOVOMATIC AG Group is among the largest technology gaming groups around the globe, considering its strong presence and that it employs more than 24,500 people.

Krenn commented on the topic in a statement. "I would like to thank the Supervisory Board for the trust they have placed in me, and I am looking forward to this responsible and exciting new task," he explained. Finally, Krenn pointed out: "NOVOMATIC is a leading global company and I will be fully committed to the sustainable success of the group, further expansion and clear positioning on international markets."

Dr. Bernd Oswald, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at NOVOMATIC AG, added that it is thrilling to add Krenn as a Member of the company's Executive Board. Oswald acknowledged the extensive experience the executive brings and added: "Stefan Krenn has played a significant role in helping to shape the strategic development of this Group in recent years, and has made an important contribution to the company’s success." Last but not least, Oswald said: "On behalf of the Supervisory Board, I would like to wish Mr. Krenn all the very best and much success with his new responsibilities."

Since 2015, Krenn has been collaborating with NOVOMATIC AG. Throughout the years, he held a number of important roles, including Global Division Manager, as well as Secretary General. He most recently held the role of Authorized Representative of the company. Krenn's professional tenure includes senior-level management roles with different NOVOMATIC subsidiaries as well.
