The Norwegian national gaming operator, Norsk Tipping, has expanded its ongoing partnership with Playtech, to now feature a broader range of online casino games.
Playtech has been selected to deliver a novelty range of online casino games after a careful public procurement process from which the company emerged victorious. This allows the two partners to also deepen their relationship and expand the range of existing products available to players.
Playtech has already been providing Norsk Tipping with online games since 2017, and already partners with the national gaming operator for VLT platforms, as well as games and services.
Thanks to this extension, however, players may also get a taste of other blockbuster casino games that will help boost Norsk Tipping’s own staying power in the vertical as well as consolidate Playtech’s presence in the Nordics as a provider of quality games.
This is a particularly important distinction at a time when Finland is looking to open up its market to private licenses, and this means that Playtech will be among the companies to seek an early entry into the local market.
Commenting on the new partnership with Norsk Tipping, Playtech Commercial Director Fredrik Sylvander commented on the broader implications for strengthening the company's ties within the Nordics.
"Playtech content has consistently proven to be very popular with Norsk Tipping’s players, and this new agreement is a testament to Playtech’s strength and focus in the online casino markets of Norway and the Nordic region."
Sylvander welcomed the opportunity to thicken the ties between the two companies as a way for Playtech to garner a deeper understanding of the online casino market in the country, along with player preferences.
Winning the public procurement process has also demonstrated that Playtech is capable of competing and continuously demonstrating the worth of its content and products but also providing Norsk Tipping’s players with a great gaming experience.
Commenting on the partnership in kind, Norsk Tipping Product Manager Casino Lars Martin Ottesen was similarly pleased with the opportunity and said that the company was confident in Playtech’s experience of providing titles and products to a wide range of regulated markets, and Norway in particular.
Playtech, Ottesen said, played a vital role in supporting Norsk Tipping with outstanding games. In December, Playtech launched its Live Casino portfolio with Veikkaus in Finland.
