Mohegan to strengthen C-suite with Ari Glazer appointment as CFO

The leading owner, developer and manager of premier entertainment resorts across the globe, Mohegan, announced an upcoming strategic senior-level appointment. The company unveiled its plans to strengthen its C-suite with the addition of Ari Glazer, an expert with more than two decades of investment banking experience. Joining Mohegan, he will serve as the company's new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

In his new role, Glazer will leverage his extensive experience and oversee all financial activities at Mohegan. This includes analysis and financial planning, as well as accounting, treasury, tax, capital markets, cash management and procurement. Taking over the role of CFO, Glazer will report to Mohegan's Chief Executive Officer and President, Ray Pineault.

With the senior-level appointment, the company anticipates strengthening its position as a leader within the gaming and entertainment industry. With Glazer on board, Mohegan plans to complete several strategic initiatives that may have a long-term impact on its growth.

According to the company, the appointment will be in effect as of May 1, 2024. Starting from March 31, 2024, with the departure of Carol Anderson, Glazer will assume the role for an interim period before the effective date.

In a statement, Glazer shared his excitement explaining: "I am honored to join Mohegan and to contribute to the company's dynamic and innovative trajectory." Additionally, he pointed out: "I look forward to leveraging my experience to enhance our financial performance, optimize our capital structure and support Mohegan's ambitious vision as its new Chief Financial Officer."

Ray Pineault, the company's President and Chief Executive Officer, added: "Ari embodies the visionary leadership and deep financial insight that Mohegan is looking for at this stage of our growth." Finally, the executive said: "His skills will be key to our strategy of diversifying Mohegan's portfolio and strengthening our fiscal foundation."

Currently, Glazer holds an MBA from the Columbia Business School at Columbia University. He also has a BA from New York University. Overall, Glazer has more than two decades of experience in investment banking.

The seasoned financial executive has a track record and most recently served as Managing Director and Global Head of Gaming and Hospitality for Citigroup. Throughout his career, Glazer accumulated experience in international and US financial markets, making him a perfect fit for the new role with Mohegan.

Recently, Mohegan confirmed the official grand opening of Mohegan INSPIRE Entertainment Resort, its new premier resort, casino and entertainment destination in Asia.
