The first micro-betting app, Betr, announced the launch of its real money gaming product in Ohio. On Friday, the company revealed it has introduced withdrawals and deposits for customers in the state, allowing them to wager real money.
The launch of the real-money gaming product by the company follows a soft launch that was completed on January 1, 2023, the first day of regulated sports betting in Ohio. Introducing real-money wagering in the state marks a milestone moment for the company. This is because Betr is the first company to launch real money betting and become fully licensed in such a short period, considering it was founded back in 2022.
Founded by entertainment star and Ohio native, Jake Paul and Joey Levy, a sports betting industry veteran, Betr is the first micro-betting mobile app. It offers unique experiences by enabling bettors to "predict the outcomes of every moment of every sporting event."
Such predictions can include but are not limited to every pitch for all MLB games, every play of all NFL, as well as College Football games, every possession for an NBA game, and many more. Besides offering a plethora of betting markets, the mobile app stands out with ease of use.
Jake Paul, the Founder and President of Betr, shared his excitement in a statement saying: "I couldn't be happier that my home state of Ohio is the first to receive access to Betr's real money gaming product."
"People are going to love watching and rooting for bets tied directly to their favorite players, whether it's a Donovan Mitchell 3-pointer, a Ja'Marr Chase 50-yard bomb, or a Jose Ramirez home run," he added. Finally, Paul explained that Betr provides unique experiences for every game.
The launch of Betr in Ohio was facilitated via a partnership with the Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company (HOFV). The terms of the 10-year partnership designated Betr as HOFV's official mobile sports betting partner. Currently, the mobile app is available for download on both Android and iOS devices for eligible customers in Ohio.
Joey Levy, Founder and CEO of Betr, added that the company is excited to introduce real money betting for customers in Ohio. "This launch marks the beginning of our gradual, methodical approach to state-by-state expansion where we will take the time necessary to discover and validate product-market-fit of our highly differentiated product experience to ensure we scale in a profitable manner," he added.
Finally, Levy acknowledged that Betr's launch marks the "fastest launch from company founding to a fully licensed and regulated real money betting product," which reaffirms its leadership scalability and efficiency.
