MGM Resorts secures inclusive workplace recognition

The globally recognized gaming and entertainment company that offers best-in-class hotels and casinos and has more than 30 unique locations around the world, MGM Resorts International, was recognized for its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts. On Monday, the company revealed that it has been named Pinnacle Inclusion Index Company within the 2023 Seramount Inclusion Index.

Some 155 organizations applied to this year's Seramount Inclusion Index. The index helps assess the efforts and recognize companies that actively invest in DEI. Moreover, the index helps better understand trends and opportunities in demographic representation and at the same time develops a "road map to drive internal change and identify solutions to close any gaps," a statement reveals.

Jyoti Chopra, MGM Resorts' Chief People, Inclusion and Sustainability Officer, was delighted regarding the latest recognition for the company. "We are honored to be recognized for our commitment to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion at our company," she explained. Finally, Chopra said: "The designation of MGM Resorts International as a Pinnacle Inclusion Index Company reflects how deeply our core values are integrated into our people strategy."

Overall, 26 organizations were recognized as Pinnacle Inclusion Index Companies for the first time this year when participating in the Seramount Inclusion Index. With MGM Resorts one of those companies, the index underlines the companies' efforts in three primary areas. Such include demographic workforce diversity, fostering an inclusive corporate culture and leadership accountability, effective practices in recruitment, as well as retention and advancement of people from underrepresented groups. The prestigious recognition reaffirms the dedication of the companies toward advancing those strategic objectives and ensuring a diverse work environment.

Operating for more than 40 years, Seramount has developed a unique approach to understanding employee experience through effective data-driven methods. Currently, the company has established partnerships with more than 450 of the most influential companies around the globe, granting them solutions for workplace assessment, best practice DEI research and other important solutions.

Last month, MGM Resorts announced that it was designated as the presenting sponsor of the annual Las Vegas Pride Parade. The event took place in downtown Las Vegas on October 6, 2023. Being selected as the presenting sponsor of the event, MGM Resorts showed its support for the 17th consecutive year. The first time the company supported the event was back in 2003, designating it as one of the first supporters of the LGBTQ+ community within the gaming and hospitality sector.
