The leading iGaming company delivering services, solutions and products for the online gambling industry, Gaming Innovation Group (GiG), has announced that its award-winning enhanced sportsbook offering has gone live in Latvia. Earlier this week, the company confirmed that three leading sports betting brands have been successfully migrated onto its sportsbook in the country.

The three major brands represent the first three operators to benefit from GiG's unique solution offering enhanced in-house capabilities. Those brands are William Hill, Mr Green and Fenibet, a statement released by GiG reveals.

William Hill Latvia's Managing Director, Janis Tregers, shared his excitement on the topic saying: "We are glad to offer this new sports betting solution to our customers in Latvia." Additionally, he pointed out: "Our teams have worked closely with GiG to tailor a modern and competitive product to build on our strong position in the market."

All three operators have already an established presence in the country. William Hill tapped into the market in Latvia back in 2019 when it acquired Mr Green. Selecting GiG's sports betting solution comes as no surprise, considering that it is expected to help the brands grow exponentially within the regulated market in the country.

Latvia represents a lucrative iGaming market, judging by H2 Gambling Data. In 2021, the market has seen a growth of 92% year-over-year. What's more, the iGaming market in Latvia is expected to achieve a five-year compound annual growth rate of 10% in the next three years or by 2026. This data reaffirms the potential of the market which is expected to bring benefits for licensed operators.

Marcel Elfersy, GiG's CCO, shared his excitement about the recent launch in Latvia. He said: "This is a very welcome milestone for us on our strategic roadmap, as we start to harvest the enormous potential of our combined sportsbook and platform offering."

Finally, the CCO said: "William Hill is one of the most famous brands associated with sports betting worldwide, and so supplying our proprietary technology to tier 1 providers of their caliber is a great demonstration of the value we are able to offer to the market."

GiG's announcement about the launch of its enhanced sportsbook offering in Latvia comes after recently, the company secured a license from the gambling regulator in Sweden, Spelinspektionen. This marked an important strategic move for GiG as it enabled it to continue to provide its leading content and solutions to licensed operators in the country.
