The world's leading developer and operator of integrated resorts, Las Vegas Sands, announced it completed a generous donation through Sands Cares to the local affiliate of the global nonprofit employment resource for women, Dress for Success (DFS) Southern Nevada. The company uncovered details regarding the $100,000 donation earlier this week, highlighting that it will help the organization's efforts in providing workforce development services and business styling for women who are underemployed or unemployed.

Currently, DFS Southern Nevada helps women in a number of aspects by providing styling services, career mentorship and coaching, as well as programs that help with financial literacy. Ultimately, the organization helps women get on the path to economic independence and find meaningful employment.

The vital donation from Sands Cares will help DFS Southern Nevada with its Styling for Success program which offers personalized suiting and styling services to women who are in urgent need for interview and want to present themselves in the best possible way. This crucial support is incredibly important for the successful outcome of job interviews which is why DFS Southern Nevada offers such services.

The collaboration between Las Vegas Sands and DFS Southern Nevada complements the company's People and Communities corporate responsibility plan. Per the initiative, Sands dedicates efforts toward workforce development and assisting underrepresented or disadvantaged people.

Ron Reese, Sands' senior vice president of global communications and corporate affairs, who is also in charge of the company's responsibility initiatives, commented on the topic in a statement. "Dress for Success offers valuable resources for unemployed and underemployed women, and we want to help ensure its continued ability to meet their needs with critical job readiness services," he revealed.

Finally, Reese said: "These offerings closely align with our workforce development and economic empowerment goals by supporting women on their journeys to find meaningful employment that creates pathways to financial freedom and a foundation for their overall well-being."

Roxann McCoy, the executive director at Dress for Success Southern Nevada, added: "This latest Sands Cares investment continues to be transformational as we aim to help more women in Southern Nevada achieve financial independence and plan for sustainable futures." Last but not least, McCoy pointed out: "Sands understands that empowering women to advance in the workforce not only provides economic independence but also helps them build resiliency and confidence in their futures."

The latest collaboration isn't the first time Sands helped DFS Southern Nevada. Back in March, the company participated in the organization's campaign, Your Hour, Her Power, which was organized together with Women's History Month 2024.
