The leading global gaming company, powering betting and iGaming operators, International Game Technology (IGT), announced a new collaboration, expanding its footprint in the regulated gambling sector in Italy. On Monday, the company revealed it joined forces with Microgame, a leading provider of software, services, solutions and content, catering to the online and retail gambling sector.

Under the terms of the new deal, IGT's industry-leading business-to-business sports betting solutions, IGT PlayDigital, will supercharge Microgame with new games. The freshly minted agreement sees Microgame gain access to IGT PlayDigital's extensive casino game library, allowing its titles to reach new audiences in the iGaming sector in Italy.

As a result of the new deal, Microgame's partners will be able to access hit titles such as Cleopatra, Da Vinci Diamonds and The Big Easy. Moreover, top-performing titles from IGT PlayDigital like Treasures of the Pyramids, among others, will become available to Microgame's network of operators consisting of nearly 50 companies.

Gil Rotem, IGT's President of iGaming, commented on the topic in a statement. "This partnership with Microgame enables IGT PlayDigital to amplify our casino portfolio on a broader scale and continue offering Italian players some of the most compelling digital games in the industry," he explained. Finally, Rotem pointed out: "The demand for iGaming continues to grow at a rapid pace and with IGT PlayDigital's experience and deep understanding of the Italian gaming market, we are uniquely positioned to support Microgame in its portfolio expansion opportunities."

Marco Castaldo, Microgame's CEO, shared the excitement of IGT's President of iGaming. "IGT has a rich history of providing best-in-class content across a variety of gaming channels in Italy, and Microgame is excited to now offer our operators and their players IGT PlayDigital's highly engaging casino games," he revealed. Finally, Castaldo said: "The inclusion of PlayDigital's iGaming content strengthens our overall portfolio and complements our solutions so that we can continue to grow within the Italian market."

The deal with Microgame comes on the heels of another important collaboration announced by IGT earlier this month. The company recently confirmed it signed a sports betting partnership with Ponce Plaza Hotel & Casino in Puerto Rico. Under the terms of the deal, IGT agreed to power the operator's mobile and retail sports betting offering with IGT PlaySports, its award-winning technology.

Currently, Microgame is known as a leading provider of products, services and technology for operators within the regulated online and land-based gambling sector. The company has more than two decades of experience in the industry and has established partnerships with globally recognized developers and iGaming content suppliers.
