Currently, seven US states offer legal online gambling activities. Compared to sports betting, iGaming is just beginning to expand across the country. Recently, the leading global gaming company, International Game Technology (IGT), announced it expanded its presence in the online gambling sector in the US thanks to a deployment in Rhode Island.

Online games from the company's IGT PlayDigital content portfolio became available for customers in the state via the Bally Casino Rhode Island app and on BallyCasino.com. The recent launch complemented IGT's expansion in the country. As a result, IGT has become one of only two suppliers of iGaming content that currently has access to all seven US states that currently offer online gambling.

Gil Rotem, IGT's President of iGaming, shared his excitement in a statement, speaking about the ongoing expansion of the company within the iGaming vertical. He explained that it is thrilling for IGT PlayDigital to grow the reach of its portfolio thanks to a collaboration with Bally's Corporation that brought leading games to customers in Rhode Island. Finally, Rotem pointed out: "As a long-time lottery and gaming supplier in Rhode Island, IGT is deeply committed to propelling the success of iGaming in the State and delivering highly entertaining games such as Cash Eruption and Fortune Coin that are proven to drive player engagement."

Craig Eaton, Bally's Rhode Island's Operations President, was just as excited about the latest collaboration that boosted the company's offering. "Bally Casino is pleased to make IGT PlayDigital's legendary game portfolio available to our players from the first day of online gaming in Rhode Island," he said.

Last but not least, Eaton outlined: "We've created a top-tier player experience at Bally Casino that gives players the convenient opportunity to experience many of their favorite IGT slots such as Cleopatra, Cats and Wolf Run at any time and from any location inside Rhode Island."

Recently, IGT confirmed its plans to separate its lottery and gaming divisions. At the time of the announcement, the company's Executive Chair of the Board, Marco Sala, explained: "As previously announced, IGT's Board of Directors embarked on a review of strategic alternatives for our Global Gaming and PlayDigital businesses as a way to unlock the intrinsic value of our portfolio of industry-leading assets."
