The leading global gaming, digital and financial technology provider, IGT, announced a strategic senior-level promotion.
On Tuesday, the company confirmed it promoted Andy Hendrickson to the role of Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO).
The senior-level promotion is subject to receiving all relevant regulatory approvals.
Prior to his elevated position, Hendrickson served as IGT's Chief Technology Officer (CTO) since 2025.
The new CPTO at IGT holds a BA in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley.
Hendrickson is also an active member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science, SMPTE and ACM SIGGRAPH.
As a transformative technology executive, he has proven his leadership and has a track record in overseeing the overhaul of platforms and the implementation of innovative technologies.
Ahead of his tenure at IGT, Hendrickson held the role of CTO of one of the company's rivals.
Throughout his career, he held a number of senior level roles, including CTO of Activision Publishing, where he played a key role in the introduction of globally recognizable game franchises such as Crash Bandicoot and Call of Duty, among others.
Earlier in his career, Hendrickson was part of Walt Disney Animation Studios, where he oversaw blockbusters such as Frozen.
His professional background includes leadership roles at Pacific Data Images/DreamWorks Animation.
At the time, he contributed to the release of popular series of films such as Madagascar and Shrek 2.
Hendrickson's professional background includes a Senior Technology Officer role at Industrial Light & Magic.
He is also renowned as an inventor and holds a number of patents in the United States.
Hendrickson revealed it is exciting to assume the role of Chief Product and Technology Officer at IGT, Casino Guru News learned from a press release.
"I believe IGT has the ingredients to deliver industry-leading products and solutions to our customers, and with the strength of our game studio talent, disciplined content creation and product management, we are well-positioned for growth and innovation," he added.
Hector Fernandez, IGT's Incoming CEO, was similarly delighted with the latest announcement.
"I'm very pleased that Andy Hendrickson is expanding his role at IGT to become our Chief Product and Technology Officer, leveraging his vision and expertise across technology, products and solutions to help our global customers deliver industry-leading games to players while enhancing their operations," the executive said.
Moreover, Fernandez pointed out: "Andy's leadership as CPTO ensures tighter alignment between our products and processes, and how we leverage world-class talent across our global game studios to create value."
