The innovative healthcare rehabilitation organization offering evidence-based addiction and mental health treatment, Icarus Behavioral Health Nevada, announced its expansion.

Growing its offering, the mental health organization plans to address the increasing number of gambling and betting addiction cases nationwide, providing clients with access to specialized care and support services.

The organization seeks to help more people affected by at-risk and problem gambling

Across the United States, the problem gambling rate is approximately 2% to 3% of the adult population, but gaming destinations such as Las Vegas record higher rates of problem gambling.

Recognized as the gambling capital of the world, Las Vegas creates unique challenges for residents who may be affected by problem gambling.

This is because gambling in Sin City is largely normalized, leading to an increased risk of developing problematic behavior with increasing betting amounts, problems with stopping gambling or other gambling-related behaviors.

Here is where Icarus Behavioral Health Nevada shines, offering comprehensive treatment, including cognitive behavioral therapy, group support sessions, individual counseling as well as family therapy options.

"Treatment plans address the psychological, financial, and social dimensions of gambling disorder while helping clients develop practical strategies for managing triggers in a city where gambling is omnipresent," a statement released by the mental health organization explains.

Expanding its services, Icarus Behavioral Health increases its operational hours and at the same time grows its employees with the addition of more specialists in addictions with gambling-specific training.

A spokesperson for Icarus Behavioral Health commented on the topic, Casino Guru News learned from a press release.

"As wagering options become more accessible, we are seeing more people and families looking for help sooner, but unsure where to start," the spokesperson explained.

Moreover, the mental health organization's spokesperson pointed out: "This expansion is about making that first step easier. We are increasing access to evidence-informed care that treats gambling addiction as a legitimate behavioral health condition, not a personal failure."

A representative of Icarus Behavioral Health added: "Our expanded services reflect our commitment to providing accessible, evidence-based care for one of the most underserved addiction populations."

They outlined that often, gambling addiction goes unnoticed and leads to devastating consequences affecting a person's finances, emotions and family life.

Finally, the representative reaffirmed Icarus Behavioral Health's goal of delivering treatment and support to Las Vegas residents.
