Glitnor Group has joined the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA), an organization that monitors global sports events and uses vast troves of data to notify authorities about suspicious betting patterns.

Moving forward, Glitnor Group’s Ontario operations will also be part of the global network for integrity monitoring, strengthening local events and offering help back to operators who may suffer from various betting abuses, Casino Guru News learned in an email press release.

Glitnor Group is joining with LCKY Group, its current operations in Ontario, and the luckycasino dot ca website, and will be part of a network of 50 companies and 125 sportsbooks.

Commenting on this new opportunity, IBIA CEO Khalid Ali said that he was very happy to welcome Glitnor Group as the latest partner in Ontario. He argued that thanks to this alliance, the organization will be able to strengthen its protection of consumers as well as businesses by catching early wind of match-fixing and other betting abuses.

"Ensuring product integrity is paramount to our approach and we look forward to integrating Glitnor within our leading global sports betting integrity monitoring system," Ali noted. The partnership was similarly welcomed by LCKY Group CEO David Schwieler who is responsible for the group’s operations locally.

"At Glitnor Group, we're dead serious about keeping our betting games fair and square. That's why teaming up with IBIA is a big deal for us," he noted. Schwieler said that Glitnor Group would do anything in its power to ensure that the integrity of sports is maintained and that consumers are protected.

IBIA has been particularly keen on expanding its footprint in North and South America. The organization has hailed Ontario as one of the best markets in the region, arguing that the sports betting channelization for regulated gambling had reached 92% in 2024, and was on course to hit 97% by 2028, more perhaps than any other global market.

By ensuring that Glitnor Group is part of IBIA’s network, the association is now able to get a better read of the local market, collecting its data firsthand and ensuring that it can run it against vast data sets that flag suspicious betting activity and relay it to the respective authorities.

Although the offshore gambling market remains strong, IBIA’s efforts have already been able to detect and prevent fraud in sports.
