Peru’s General Directorate of Casino Games and Slot Machines of Peru, or DGJCMT for short, has cleared Gaming Laboratories International as the country’s first and fully certified testing agency that can issue accreditations to online gaming, sports, and retail betting companies in the jurisdiction.
GLI will now help companies seeking to break ground locally to obtain the necessary paperwork and have definitive proof that their product offerings match the demands of the local regulator and market particularities.
GLI President and CEO James Maida has welcomed the opportunity and said that his company remained firmly ensconced in the gambling industry and continuously sought to provide the highest standard of accreditation to gambling companies and help them meet their compliance needs, especially when the stakes are as high as gaining an entry into the regulated market.
"For the last 26 years, we have been privileged to witness the integrity and professionalism of the Peru regulatory entity through its leadership and professionals. It has been a regulatory model for many jurisdictions around Latin America because of its indisputable reputation and their thorough regulatory process, and because of the dedication of their team," Maida said, recapping the expertise of his own company and the international recognition it has been able to achieve.
He also pointed out that the DGJCMT and GLI go a long way back and have collaborated over the past, helping steer the overall gambling industry towards a safer and more transparent future. GLI has recently played musical chairs at the top of its corporate structure, bringing several senior appointments, and strengthening its roster of professionals as it prepares to grow even further.
