  • 2026 Gaming in Germany Conference is set to return on Tuesday, November 10, with four main blocks focused on core market discussions
  • Among the topics that the event is touching on is a general assessment of the industry, including current regulatory challenges and emerging products
  • Part of the event will be dedicated to directly addressing the ongoing problem with the black market

The 2026 Gaming in Germany Conference is just around the corner, with the event due to take place on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, and offering further insight into the dynamic, regulated iGaming market in the country.

State of state of Germany's iGaming industry

Amid increasing regulatory scrutiny and competition from the offshore market, the message that the event wishes to send is captured by its catchphrase #ReclaimTheMarket, meant to strengthen licensed operators’ clout in the market, and help them find ways to strengthen overall market channelization.

Among the other key topics featured at the event will be an evaluation of the 2021 State Gambling Treaty.

The discussions will also focus on emerging new products, such as prediction markets, sweepstakes, and esports betting, along with online casino table game licensing in several states: Nordrhein-Westfalen, Bavaria, Schleswig-Holstein, and Baden-Württemberg.

From addressing black market challenges to emerging products

Gaming in Germany Conference will similarly address the remaining gambling monopolies in both Germany and Austria, and talk in detail about Austria’s looming market re-regulation. Commenting on all of this, Willem van Oort, Gaming in Germany founder, said:

"These are all topics that are highly relevant for running a successful iGaming business in Germany. The possibility of being able to offer new products is always exciting, and the opening of Austria's regulated online casino market will bring fresh opportunities to operators that are already active in German-speaking areas. There will be a lot of new and essential information for everyone."

Spread across four blocks, the event will feature regulatory updates, a keynote address by a yet-to-be-named senior GGL representative, as well as more sensitive topics such as "Threading the needle between public opinion and economic viability."
