The leading betting and gaming company, parent to renowned international brands like 888, Mr Green and William Hill, evoke plc, continues to show resilience and maintains focus on cash generation and profitability, its Q3 2026 trading update reveals.
The company has released its update for the three months ended September 30, 2026.
Besides the Q3 2026 financial report, evoke posted an update on the recommended acquisition by Bally’s Intralot.
Unaudited financial figures by evoke reveal that Q3 2026 group revenue was £406m ($541.8m).
The aforementioned figure, the company said, represents a decrease of 7% year-over-year on a reported basis, or a 2% dip on a like-for-like constant currency basis, excluding the impact of the retail shops' closures.
evoke acknowledged customer-friendly sports results in the beginning of the football season affected revenue growth.
However, on a normalized basis, the company said the Q3 2026 results were "broadly stable."
Per Widerström, evoke’s CEO, discussed the third quarter results, Casino Guru News learned from a press release.
"On an underlying basis the business continues to show resilience and reflects our continued emphasis on profitability and cash generation following the substantial increases in gaming duties, particularly in the UK," he said.
The company recently confirmed it is moving forward with the closure of around 270 betting shops in the United Kingdom.
Widerström addressed the closures, saying: "The closure of 270 shops over the past year shows the real impact on jobs and livelihoods from higher industry taxation, and we urge the UK Government to carefully consider any further increases ahead of its forthcoming Autumn Budget."
In its Q3 2026 trading update, evoke acknowledged the acquisition by Bally’s Intralot is going according to plan.
"The acquisition remains on track, with both sets of shareholders having passed the required resolutions at the relevant shareholder meetings, and the majority of the required regulatory approvals having now been received," the former company wrote.
evoke pointed to the outstanding completion of different closing conditions, revealing that the acquisition is expected to close in late Q4 2026 or early in Q1 2027.
"We remain focused on disciplined execution and operational efficiency as we progress towards completion of the acquisition, which continues to progress as planned towards completing in late Q4 2026 or early Q1 2027," Widerström explained in conclusion.
