DraftKings has strengthened its presence in the iGaming market in Ontario by launching content from EveryMatrix, an acclaimed supplier of hard-hitting and player-favorite online casino titles.
This is the latest North American market entry and expansion for EveryMatrix, as the company previously rolled out its content with DraftKings in New Jersey in 2023, and is further looking to strengthen its local presence at a time when all focus by suppliers has been on the local market.
As a result, DraftKings will have access to a select variety of licensed and market-ready games delivered through the SlotMatrix aggregation system by EveryMatrix.
In the meantime, EveryMatrix already holds licenses in multiple states in the United States, including Michigan, West Virginia, Connecticut and Pennsylvania, with a further scaling of operations expected across the region.
EveryMatrix President for Americas Erik Nyman has welcomed this new opportunity, and said:
"EveryMatrix is thrilled to expand our partnership with DraftKings into Canada and the largest province, Ontario."
Nyman noted that thanks to this launch in Ontario, the company was able to reach "half of the country’s population" and praised DraftKings as the reliable and large-scale partner that EveryMatrix needs to succeed across the region.
The partnership between the two companies is only poised to grow from this point. Although it took more than a year to see a second SlotMatrix launch as part of the EveryMatrix-DraftKings pivot, both companies seem to be happy with the results so far.
Last year, EveryMatrix also brought its SlotMatrix solution to betPARX, another well-established North American betting and gaming brand. Similarly, EveryMatrix has rolled out its content with another established US brand, Golden Nugget Online Gaming just in May.
All of this comes at an important juncture for EveryMatrix as a company, as it has climbed to another record-setting quarter, the company noted in its Q2 earnings call.
DraftKings in the meantime, has had to take a step back from a recently proposed "surcharge" that would have applied to betting winnings for every player in four states. The company said that it is backtracking and won’t introduce the surcharge after all.
Although a lot of the focus since 2018 has been on expanding into the sports betting vertical, online casinos remain the main driver of revenue for companies across the North American market.
