EveryMatrix, BetBlocker and the Responsible Gaming Foundation have teamed up to offer the BetBlocker service in Maltese, with the three-way collaboration seeking to empower more players to steer away from harmful gambling practices and set themselves on a path to recovery once they have experienced gambling-related harm, Casino Guru News learned in an email press release.
The project is part of the broader framework of the European Safer Gambling Week 2024, and it sees all three stakeholders focused on providing anonymous and free service to players who are keen to get better and leverage the BetBlocker service to ensure that they maintain a healthy relationship with gambling or leverage the tools necessary to stay safe in the first place.
BetBlocker Founder and Trustee Duncan Garvie has commented on this new opportunity, extolling the virtues of BetBlocker as a service and also drawing attention to the present partnership which contributes to protecting an even wider range of players.
"Where a user is able to access BetBlocker in the language that they are most confident in, the chances of them converting to an active block is far higher.
We’re really grateful to EveryMatrix and the RGF for their partnership on this project. It significantly improves the options for Maltese players and will go a long way in terms of raising awareness of the support that BetBlocker offers amongst MGA licensees."
EveryMatrix Head of Compliance Jake Cachia has similarly welcomed the opportunity to see his company participate in this important initiative and contribute to the strengthening of responsible gambling tools and means in the industry, especially in time for Safer Gambling Week.
"EveryMatrix is proud of its commitment to safer gambling and player protection while producing market-leading gaming solutions, and partnerships such as underline how crucial it is to keep making a difference," Cachia said.
BetBlocker has similarly launched a multi-lingual service in the United Kingdom targeting vulnerable people of Eastern European origin.
