Swintt, the leading supplier of quality games, powering online gambling operators across the globe, announced an important senior-level appointment.
On Tuesday, the company confirmed the appointment of Etienne Azzopardi to the position of Managing Director.
The senior-level shift follows the stepping down of Swintt’s CEO, David Mann, who assumed a new role in January, resulting in a strategic restructuring.
Formerly serving as COO, Azzopardi assumed the role of Managing Director on an interim basis back in January.
In the months that followed, he proved he is the perfect match for the role, overseeing a range of growth initiatives and processes impacting the future of Swintt.
After his successful tenure as an Interim Managing Director, the company concluded that he has all the qualities required for assuming the role on a permanent basis.
As a result, Azzopardi will now lead Swintt’s future market expansion plans.
His responsibilities will include team development, among other objectives that are vital for the company’s future.
In a press release, the newly appointed Managing Director commented: "I’m delighted to have been appointed Managing Director at Swintt. Since joining the company in 2021, I’ve had a hand in everything from operational management and roadmap optimization to market licensing and game certification, and the experience I’ve picked up in those four and a half years will prove crucial in my new role."
Moreover, Azzopardi pointed out: "Having spent three months acting as Interim Managing Director, I feel very privileged to be taking the role on a permanent basis and believe this will be the catalyst for Swintt to continue its outstanding recent growth in regulated markets worldwide. With a packed product roadmap already planned for 2026, it’s going to be an amazing journey and I’m excited to continue growing the Swintt brand."
While still holding the role of Interim Managing Director, Azzopardi oversaw the development of at least a dozen engaging games.
He played a central role in the launch of three key releases from Swintt’s Elysium Studios line-up, including Lucky Lads: Hold & Win, among others.
Besides releasing engaging games, Swintt recently inked two major partnership agreements.
The company teamed up with NetBet, growing the reach of its quality games in the Greek gambling market.
Moreover, Swintt teamed up with SkillOnNet, delivering a range of Select, Premium and Elysium Studios games to the operator’s brands.
