Entain outlines two new Board Committee formations

Entain plc continues to improve its executive and corporate structure with the interactive entertainment group revealing two new important committees to improve the Board's effectiveness as well as boost engagement with people and sustainability. The changes have been revealed and outlined in an update posted on the company’s website.

The first one, People & Governance Committee, will have several main things that it will address. The Committee will review workforce policies and practices, as well as monitor whether these policies are consistent with the company’s broader "purpose, strategy, and values" Entain wrote in its update.

The Committee will also seek to ensure that there is sufficient diversity across cognitive strengths, ethnic and social backgrounds, and gender. The new Committee will be chaired by Stella David, who will also be joined by Chairman Barry Gibson and the Designated Workforce Director Virginia McDowell.

Then, there is the Sustainability & Compliance Committee, which will succeed the Environmental, Social and Governance Committee. This new Committee will provide oversight of the company’s Sustainability and Compliance programs, the company update informs.

It will similarly seek to oversee the effective management of Entain’s ongoing relationship and engagement with stakeholders across a wide variety of areas. Furthermore, the Sustainability & Compliance Committee will seek to gauge performance and assess results.

The Committee sees Stella David step down as well with immediate effect. Entain ChairmanBarry Gibson has welcomed the formation of these two new Committees, hailing them as an important step forward for the company and its overall development and growth.

"The outstanding quality of Entain’s people around the world is a key part of our success, and these changes will bring the Board even closer to the extraordinary talent and diversity that we are fortunate to have across our business," Gibson stated in an outline of the new Committees, their roles, and how Entain continues to change to meet its obligations as a leader in entertainment.

The new Committees are a strong example of the company’s determination to achieve sustainability as well as ensure that it provides best-in-class and responsible operations of governance across its entire business.
