Casinos in Massachusetts are not a new affair. In fact, they have been around for around, and notwithstanding a three-year hiatus in operations, casinos have been an important source of revenue to the Bay State. Not only that but there is one property that has stood out from all the rest in the state.

This is where Encore Boston Harbor comes in, a Wynn Resorts property that has overcome all of these challenges and made it possible to continually generate strong revenue and financials. According to the Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC), the Wynn Resorts property is the best performing one for the month of April once again.

Based in the Mystic River in Everett, this is one of the most prominent Boston casinos, with a total of $63.7 million generated from gambling operations this past month. In other words, Encore Boston Harbor secured roughly 64% of the total gambling share in the market in terms of gross gaming revenue.

The total revealed by the MGC stood at $99 million. Other properties, including the Plainridge Park and MGM Springfield, were slower compared to the Encore Boston with $12.9 million and $22.5 million respectively. Part of this has been owing to the property’s ability to cultivate a select premium mass of players, but in general, the casino has been one of the most visible properties on the map.

Constant renovation and commitment to customer welfare have won it a strong reputation, prompting players from far and wide to flock to the casino. It has also focused on raising its minimum betting limits, which does not necessarily bode well for budget players, but has managed to attract the "right crowd."

These results exclude the possibility of introducing a dedicated sportsbook in the Bay State which should lead to new experiences and heightened interest from sports bettors. With more than 35 states and the District of Columbia now legalizing sports gambling, Encore Boston Harbor would be aprime candidate for having a dedicated sportsbook operation.

The property and its parent company are already associated with sports gambling as the WynnBET brand is present across the United States. In the absence of sports, though, Encore Boston Harbor will continue to maintain its leadership position in gambling in Massachusetts.
