Disc Golf Pro Tour names Powerball official presenting partner

The famous national lottery game, popular across the United States, Powerball, signed a new agreement.

Earlier this week, Powerball confirmed it joined forces with the Disc Golf Pro Tour (DGPT) for a new collaboration that will bring engaging experiences for fans of the sport and deliver a range of marketing opportunities.

Fans of the sport are in for a treat

Under the terms of the alliance, Powerball was designated as DGPT's official presenting partner.

As a result, the popular lottery game is now going to be part of the Tour's name, which will appear as the Disc Golf Pro Tour Presented by Powerball throughout the season.

Moreover, the collaboration will attach the Powerball brand to key components of the Tour's competition structure.

This includes the closing stretch season tournaments, which will appear as the Powerball DGPT Playoffs, while the season-long points race, which will appear as the Powerball DGPT World Standings.

Notably, the culmination of the season, the Disc Golf Pro Tour Championship, will now be named the 2026 Powerball Cup.

The 2026 Powerball Cup will see the top performers compete for the prestigious title of Disc Golf Pro Tour Champion.

More than a dozen US-based DGPT events will include special Powerball perks that will give five ticketed spectators a chance to make an ace and win cash prizes.

Not unexpectedly, the five randomly chosen spectators will have to meet a minimum age requirement.

Dubbed the Powerball Ace, the half-time style promotion will debut at the Supreme Flight Open in Brooksville, Florida.

The exciting promotion will offer a hole-in-one prize that starts at $5,000 and if no prize is hit, it will grow by $1,000 for each tournament.

If a player hits an ace, the prize is reset to a starting amount of $5,000.

The agreement with Powerball marks a milestone for DGPT and the sport

Jeff Spring, DGPT's CEO, commented on the topic, Casino Guru News learned from a press release.

"Welcoming Powerball as the Tour’s overall presenting partner represents a landmark moment for the sport," he said.

Moreover, Spring pointed out: "This multi-year partnership, currently in place for the next two seasons, is the largest in the Tour’s history and will allow us to make meaningful investments in Tour infrastructure and long-term development. This partnership will help to strengthen our events, expand opportunities for players, and elevate fan experience."

Matt Strawn, Powerball Product Group's Chair and CEO of the Iowa Lottery, was similarly delighted.

"For years, Powerball has brought the country together to dream big – and now we’re ready to play even bigger with the DGPT," he revealed.

Finally, Strawn explained that the deal enables Powerball to connect with the growing DGPT fan base and benefit local communities.
