Louisiana's largest casino resort, Coushatta Casino Resort, announced the appointment of a seasoned executive to the strategic role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
The casino resort confirmed earlier this week it selected Tanya Duhon, who held the Interim CFO role previously, to assume the position on a permanent basis.
Overall, Duhon has been part of the Coushatta Casino Resort for more than two decades.
Throughout her lengthy career, she accumulated significant institutional knowledge while demonstrating dedication to bringing success to the property.
Duhon graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting.
In her new role as permanent CFO, she will oversee Coushatta Casino Resort's entire financial strategy and property-wide operations.
The appointment comes on the heels of another similar announcement. Only recently, Coushatta Casino Resort announced it hired Britton Pruett as Director of Food and Beverage.
Nate Tanner, Coushatta Casino Resort's General Manager, spoke with excitement about the latest senior-level appointment, Casino Guru News learned from a press release.
"Tanya's leadership, integrity and financial expertise have made a lasting impact on our organization," he explained.
Moreover, Tanner pointed out: "Her performance over the past several months made this a natural decision, and we are proud to officially name her as our Chief Financial Officer."
While Duhon held the CFO role in an interim capacity, she led a number of key financial initiatives.
Such included discussions with the Louisiana Gaming Commission, as well as the National Indian Gaming Commission.
She also played a central role in the development of Coushatta Casino Resort's 2026 budget and cash flow management programs focusing on the property's expansion.
Last but not least, Duhon provided guidance and advice to the casino resort's growing financial team during a time when the property recorded solid growth.
