Catena Media selects Michael Gerrow for Group CFO

The leading affiliate marketer in iGaming, sports betting and financial services, Catena Media, announced a new senior-level appointment. Last week, the company confirmed the appointment of Michael Gerrow to the role of Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The latest appointment represents a promotion for the senior executive who has significant experience in marketing, online gaming and the health industries.

As Group CFO, Gerrow will succeed Erik Edeen, who held the role of interim Group CFO. A priority during Edeen's tenure was strengthening the company's financial position and operating model. While Edeen will no longer hold the interim Group CFO role, he will remain a part of Catena Media. Once Gerrow steps into his new role, Edeen will transition to a strategic advisory role and will continue to provide guidance and expert advice for the company.

Initially, Gerrow joined Catena Media back in 2020. At the time, he became a part of the company's Malta-based operations. More recently, he held the role of Vice President of Finance. Holding the role of VP of Finance, Gerrow was based in Miami, Florida, the United States and helped spearhead the company's analysis capabilities and financial planning. Although the appointment was announced recently, Catena Media confirmed it will be in effect as of April 15, 2024.

Pierre Cadena, Catena Media's Interim CEO, shared his excitement about the latest appointment in a statement. "We are delighted to see Michael step into the role of Group CFO," he revealed. Moreover, Cadena pointed out: "His extensive experience and deep understanding of our financial operations make him exceptionally well-suited to lead our financial operations going forward." Finally, he predicted that the new Group CFO in the face of Gerrow will strengthen the company's executive management team and support its next phase of global growth.

Overall, Gerrow brings more than 15 years of experience in different sectors. He currently has a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada. Additionally, Gerrow also holds professional accounting qualifications from ACCA UK, as well as CPA Canada. He brings solid experience which is undoubtedly going to help him in his new role as Group CFO role with Catena Media.
