The now-concluded Canadian Gaming Summit celebrated its 26th edition in style, reuniting one of its biggest audiences to date under the stewardship of SBC Events. The gathering, which was held from June 13 through June 15 at the Metro Toronto Convention Center, posted some impressive attendance rate. This year saw twice the number of people attending from the last edition, with more than 2,000 people converging on the venue, and setting a new standard.
SBC Founder & CEO Rasmus Sojmark was among those excited to see the inaugural event has proven to be such a steady success. "Our inaugural experience surpassed all expectations. Prior to the summit, we engaged in extensive conversations with exhibitors, sponsors, and speakers, delving into the nuances of the market to better cater to our audience. Leveraging the vast network of SBC connections, we managed to elevate this event into the pinnacle gathering for the Canadian gaming industry," Sojmark explained encouraged by the momentum that the event gathered with its latest edition.
Meanwhile, Canadian Gaming Association (CGA), which co-hosted the event with SBC Events, was similarly pleased with the immediate benefits that this collaboration had brought on. Paul Burns, President & CEO at CGA said that it was encouraging to see the strong and positive reception the event had had.
Betting Hero President Jai Maw was among those to pay compliments to the gathering and say that SBC has been able to bring some very interesting companies and ideas to the floor at the Metro Toronto Convention Center. There were of course other prominent figures joining the event, including OLG VP of Community, Sustainability & Social Responsibility, Catherine L Meade. There was also the highly-anticipated First Pitch startup competition that proved to be a success as well. All in all, the gathering proved to be a success with SBC confident in the future successes as well. The Canadian Gaming Summit will be coming back to Toronto on June 18 through June 20, 2024.
