The leading entertainment and casino company, Caesars Entertainment, celebrated the opening of its temporary gaming facility located in Columbus, Nebraska. Earlier this week, the company revealed that Columbus Casino, its temporary location, opened its doors for visitors at Platte County Ag Society Park.

A glamorous ribbon-cutting ceremony attracted many guests, as well as the Mayor of Columbus, Jim Bulkley, and representatives of the leadership at Caesars Entertainment, a statement reveals. Caesars' permanent venue, Harrah's Columbus, NE Racing & Casino, is currently being constructed in collaboration with Columbus Exposition and Racing.

Tom Jackson, a representative for Columbus Exposition and Racing also attended the recent ribbon-cutting ceremony that opened the doors for the temporary venue's first bettors. Visitors to the temporary location can enjoy more than 250 of the most popular slot machines. Additionally, they can also place wagers on horse racing at Columbus Casino.

Columbus Exposition and Racing in collaboration with Caesars Entertainment is currently in the process of building the permanent Harrah's Columbus, NE Racing & Casino. The new location is expected to offer some 28,000 square feet of casino floor with 14 table games, as well as 500 slot machines. What's more, the permanent venue will be the home of the longest thoroughbred racetrack in Nebraska.

Additional amenities are going to include a Marriot Fairfield Inn, as well as Townplace Suites that are built adjacent to the venue and connected via a direct pathway. Visitors to Harrah's Columbus will also have fine dining options such as The Brew Brothers, an award-winning restaurant, and a bar called Wishbones.

Don Ostert, Harrah's Columbus' Senior Vice President and General Manager, shared his excitement saying: "Opening the Columbus Casino is a huge milestone for us in the Harrah's Columbus project." Finally, he pointed out: "With the tremendous support from the community of Columbus, we're proud to open our doors and welcome guests to the temporary facility for the first time."

Only recently, Caesars expanded its offering for customers in Pennsylvania via Caesars Digital thanks to a deal with Evolution, the leading developer and supplier of products for the online gambling vertical. Consequently, titles from the leading supplier launched with Caesars Sportsbook & Casino and the Tropicana Online Casino for customers in the state.

It's no surprise that Columbus Casino is part of Caesars' customer loyalty network, Caesars Rewards. Overall, the company has more than 50 properties in North America where customers can tap into the leading loyalty program and this includes Columbus Casino, as well as the upcoming Harrah's Columbus, NE Racing & Casino.
