Booming Games, a Malta-based supplier with a highly successful commercial streak, has promoted a new professional to its C-level suite, adding Darja Roos as its new Chief Financial Officer.
The addition of Roos comes at a time when the supplier has focused on scaling its presence in key regulated markets and on delivering high-quality slots and promotional tools, along with back-office solutions.
Commenting on the appointment, Booming Games Chief of Staff Ramona Petrina had this to say:
"Darja brings exactly the blend of iGaming, governance and international finance experience we need at this stage of our growth. Alongside Eric and the Finance team, she’ll play a key role in building on our existing foundations and supporting our continued growth. We’re delighted to welcome her to the leadership team."
Roos is a familiar face within the iGaming, fintech and international business sectors, and has worked for a variety of companies, honing her experience as a leading figure in finance.
She most recently worked at Yolo Group, and before that at GAN/Coolbet, where she also held a senior finance role, further exemplifying her ability to adapt and work across groups with different interests.
Roos will bring her business expertise to Booming Games at a time when the supplier is aggressively scaling its presence. She will be tasked with finance, accounting, reporting, auditing, and compliance, and will work closely with Eric Saliba and the wider Finance team in Malta, Booming Games said in a statement.
Booming Games has been looking to strengthen its C-level lineup and has been adding people in key positions as a result. Roos’ appointment comes after that of Ally McIvtor, who has been appointed Chief of Sales at the company.
Before that, Booming Games also added Michael Waterfield, who joined the company as its new Chief Commercial Officer. Commenting on her appointment, Roos said:
"I’m delighted to be joining Booming Games as CFO and believe the 20+ years’ experience I’ve accumulated across iGaming, fintech and international business will enable me to bring a unique perspective to the role."
"With a strong team already in place and some very ambitious plans for the future, it’s an exciting chance for us to build a stronger, more efficient financial function, and I can’t wait to get started," she concluded.
