The world’s first real money gaming super app, founded in 2022 by Joey Levy and Jake Paul, Betr, announced major changes to its senior-level leadership team.
On Thursday, the company confirmed the promotion of Mike Denevi to the role of Chief Content Officer (CCO).
At the same time, Betr said it promoted Alex Kuwada to Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Alex Ursa to the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Levy, the CEO and of the Founders of Betr, acknowledged in a press release that Denevi and Ursa were the first two people hired at the company.
The executive added that it is thrilling to promote them to the roles of CCO and COO, respectively along with the elevation of Kuwada to the CMO position.
"Alex Ursa is overseeing one of the most impressive product development feats in industry history – the development of a super app spanning several real money gaming products and prediction markets across one app and one wallet experience," Levy added.
Moreover, the Founder and CEO of Betr pointed out: "Alex Kuwada is successfully building a paid-organic marketing hybrid growth engine that has yielded the best unit economics in the industry. And Mike Denevi is overseeing the development of one of the strongest, most differentiated brands in the industry – that is also now the most followed."
Finally, he thanked the three executives for their relentless dedication and support that helped Betr expand.
Betr currently operates Betr Social Sportsbook, Betr Social Casino, Betr Arcade and Betr Picks.
Covering majority of the United States, the company holds gaming licenses in many jurisdictions and is renowned for its approach to responsible play.
Before his appointment as CCO, Denevi served as Head of Media for more than four years.
Before his career at Betr, Denevi was employed at Bleacher Report for more than a decade.There, he most recently served as Director of Brand Strategy.
On the other hand, Kuwada joined Betr two years ago.
In his new, elevated role of CMO, he will oversee acquisition, retention and VIP operations, among other vital processes.
Ahead of his successful career at Betr, Kuwada was employed at FanDuel for six years, where he most recently served as Senior Director of Growth.
Last but not least, Ursa was the first employee hired at Betr.
Prior to his promotion to COO, he played a major role in the development of the company over the last four years, helping build the product and business.
As COO, Ursa will be in charge of strategic product development processes and operations.
Before joining the C-suite at Betr, he was employed at Flutter for nearly a decade.
