BetMGM, the online gaming and betting US giant, has closed the book on a successful 2025. The company has specifically chosen to highlight its track record in jackpots, with the platform paying out some $122.1m to players throughout the year.
Just before the year’s end, a player in Michigan scooped up $897,928 on a $8 spin on Bison Fury, whereas another player - again from Michigan, won a $612,764 early into 2026, off a $2 bet on MegaJackpots Cash Eruipton, setting the platform off to a flying start already in the year.
Yet, none of these prizes was the largest that the platform paid. A Canadian player actually won $1.16m (CA$1.6m) in 2025, playing the MGM Grand Millions in Ontario.
Ontario, however, came up fourth out of five states where the company’s jackpot slots are available, with BetMGM awarding a cumulative of $18.77m (CA$29.5m).
First was Michigan, where players have won a total of $42.6m - the largest, and a significant difference from the $29.7m won in Pennsylvania and $23.5m won in New Jersey.
Last was West Virginia, which paid out a modest amount to lottery winners in comparison, $5m. Naturally, five of the top 10 jackpots by size were won in Michigan. The largest jackpot in the United States, however, was scooped up by a player in New Jersey - $997,341, playing Independence Pays.
A winner in Michigan came in third, with 897,928won on Bison Fury, and Ontario was in the Top 10 list once again in fourth spot with a $800,000 (CA$1.1m) jackpot payout on Jellyfish Jackpots.
BetMGM is stepping into 2026 with an already large jackpot win for one of its players. The company intends to maintain its momentum and offer even more rewards to players, with any gametime spend generating BetMGM Rewards, redeemable for various programs and digital bonuses.
