BetMGM Poker Championship arrives to ARIA in June

The market-leading sports betting and gaming entertainment company, BetMGM, announced that one of the most-anticipated poker events will return to Las Vegas this summer. On Tuesday, the company revealed that the BetMGM Poker Championship will return to the gambling capital of the world, Las Vegas, in June.

The BetMGM Poker Championship will take place at the ARIA Resort and Casino. This marks the second time the tournament is taking place at ARIA's Poker Room and according to a statement released by BetMGM, it "leads six days of BetMGM poker action, beginning with a Mystery Bounty event on June 8."

The $3,500 buy-in no-limit Hold'em BetMGM Poker Championship is planned to start on Friday, June 9, 2023. The tournament, which features a $2 million guarantee, will go through Tuesday, June 13, 2023. BetMGM explained that the final table of the tournament will be played on June 13. The final table will also be streamed live via PokerGO Studio as well.

Sean McCormack, MGM Resorts' Director of Poker Strategy, shared his excitement on the topic saying: "Partnering with BetMGM for another summer championship is a tremendous opportunity for us to offer poker players a one-of-a-kind experience." Finally, he pointed out: "ARIA has doubled the guarantee from last year to $2 million, giving the competitors the chance to win one of our industry’s top prize pools."

According to BetMGM, the BetMGM Poker Championship will "feature two starting flights and at least 100 qualifiers from BetMGM Poker markets including New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Ontario, Canada."

Additionally, online qualifier events for the tournament are planned to start on May 1, 2023. The company confirmed that players who qualify within the online events for the BetMGM Poker Championship can win packages with a $3,500 buy-in for the event, as well as an $800 buy-in for the Mystery Bounty event. Online qualifiers may also benefit from six-night accommodation at the ARIA as well as travel expenses.

Luke Staudenmaier, BetMGM's Director of Poker, added: "It’s great to bring BetMGM players back to Las Vegas during one of poker’s most exciting times of the year." In conclusion, he explained: "For a second straight year, ARIA is delivering a Championship event and we are happy to continue to build on our relationship with MGM Resorts, while connecting BetMGM online players to the best poker rooms in the United States."
