BetMGM has introduced the BetMGM Horse Racing app for mobile devices in Florida and Louisiana. The app is now available in three states and allows users to wager on horses at more than 200 tracks around the world. Santa Anita Park in California is included, as well as Gulfstream Park and Aqueduct Racetrack in New York.
Adam Greenblatt, CEO of BetMGM, stated that the launch in Florida and Louisiana set the stage for BetMGM's engagement with a new client base in the South. He added that the BetMGM Horse Racing App is a key component of the operator's market expansion plans and that it will accelerate the company's continued growth through 2022.
BetMGM Horse Racing uses NYRA (New York Racing Association) Bets' capabilities in order to enable customers to place online bets. NYRA Bets is a provider of US horseracing content.
Bettors can access daily horseracing content, live streaming video and race replays, as well as betting opportunities for many events in the US, including the Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes.
Users also have access to live streaming of races at international events such as Royal Ascot and Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
The BetMGM Horse Racing App is available for both iOS and Android users from Florida, Louisiana and Ohio.
BetMGM continues expanding into new areas. It brought its retail betting operation to Washington State through the Puyallup Tribe of Indians at Emerald Queen Casino (EQC) this week. The official opening of BetMGM's new sportsbook in Washington was attended by Marshawn Lynch and Lawyer Milloy, Washington sports icons, and Sydney Rice.
The new sportsbook has a video wall measuring 500 feet, more than 12 HD TV screens measuring 86 inches, leather armchairs and six ticket windows. There are also 30 betting kiosks.
The Puyallup Tribal Council stated that EQC "has really gone above and beyond to make BetMGM Sportsbook EQC a premier destination for sports betting throughout the Northwest."
It added, "We've got the biggest video screen in the country, great seating and an opening day that brought sports legends plus a live broadcast and a live game. We are striving to offer the best sports betting experience around at the betting capital of the Northwest!"
Washington became the 21st to legalize sports betting in March 2020. This past September, the Snoqualmie Tribe was the first operator to open a sportsbook in the state.
