Bally's confirms plans to replace Chief Executive Officer

The global casino-entertainment company that has a strong presence within the online gambling and sports betting vertical, Bally's Corporation, announced a senior-level change Monday. The company revealed that its current CEO, Lee Fenton, will be stepping down from his position.

The leadership role will be filled by the company's current President - Interactive, Robeson Reeves, a statement released on February 13, 2023, reveals. Bally's explained that the senior-level change will be effective as of March 31, 2023. Besides stepping down from the role of CEO, Fenton will also step down from his Board of Directors position with Bally's.

Fenton's tenure with the company dates back to 2015 when he held the position of CEO at Gamesys Group PLC. However, upon Bally's takeover of Gamesys, he was appointed to the role of CEO. This happened back in October 2021. Under his tenure, the company grew exponentially, and Fenton helped navigate it through multiple difficulties.

On the other hand, Reeves was also a part of Gamesys prior to its acquisition by Bally's. He joined the company back in 2005 and has held multiple leadership-level roles. Before becoming Bally's President - Interactive, Reeves was Gamesys' Chief Operating Officer. His tenure with Gamesys includes a Director of Gaming Operations level role as well.

Sharing his excitement about the appointment, Reeves said: "I am honored to lead Bally's and grateful for the support and confidence shown in me by my fellow Board members." Moreover, he acknowledged that the company holds a strong market position and predicted unique future growth opportunities. Finally, Reeves said: "I look forward to working hard with my Executive Team and all our teams to take those opportunities and maximize our growth."

Bally's outgoing CEO, Fenton, thanked the company's Chairman of the Board of Directors, Soo Kim, as well as all of the Board Members and dedicated experts that are a part of the company. "Bally's is an extraordinary business with extraordinary people, and I want to thank each and every one of them for the support they have shown me and the commitment they continue to bring to the business," he said.

Fenton pointed out that it will be exciting to see Reeves take over the leadership role after their work together for the last 14 years. Last but not least, Fenton said that it is now the time for Reeves to step in and lead the company, leveraging his unique talent.
