The National Football League (NFL) roster cutdown and the start of the first regular season game are approaching fast, and franchises still have time to make trades.
In an exclusive interview for Casino Guru News, Jason La Canfora, the award-winning NFL reporter, analyst and insider with more than two decades of experience, breaks down what might happen ahead of the regular season game.
In the words of the expert analyst and insider, five teams kept four quarterbacks on their roster, something he described as "unprecedented."
"Another half dozen (teams) or so have at least three (quarterbacks). Again, there’s only one on the field," La Canfora continued.
According to the award-winning reporter, who has spoken to NFL execs, including general managers, the fast-approaching first regular season game has changed the dynamic.
La Canfora further explained: "Of those five teams, execs believe at least three will make a quarterback trade or certainly of those five, three won’t be holding four quarterbacks for that long."
Focusing on the Pittsburgh Steelers, the NFL insider said: "The Steelers want to move Mason Rudolph. They really like their youngsters, Will Howard and Drew Allar."
The expert emphasized that the Steelers see the starting potential of both Howard and Allar but also consider their development would take some time.
"If they could get something from Mason Rudolph, they’ll move them. And if an injury happens somewhere else and it’s a system that they think Rudolph fits, that’s a trade that is very likely to happen," La Canfora said in conclusion.
