Patriots facing early test against Steelers amid growing questions, NFL insider

The New England Patriots faced the Seattle Seahawks for a season-opening game that was a rematch of the Super Bowl.

In the end, the Seahawks won with a 13-10 against the Patriots, and one National Football League (NFL) insider discussed the recent season-opening loss.

In an exclusive interview for Casino Guru News, Jason La Canfora, an NFL insider, reporter and analyst, expressed skepticism about the Patriots’ ability to match the success they recorded during the last season.

"Spoke to advanced scouts. None of them believed that the New England Patriots were set up to come close to where they got a year ago for a multitude of reasons," he said early in the interview.

La Canfora acknowledged that the Patriots faced the Super Bowl champions and explained: "And yes, it's just one game. And yes, it was Seattle, and yes, it was against the Super Bowl champs, but there are some red flags about this team and why the regression might be real. Perhaps even an 0-4 start."

He pointed to the significantly competitive environment of the NFL, adding that the Patriots are about to face the Pittsburgh Steelers in week two.

Speaking about the latter team, the NFL insider and analyst said: "The Steelers have an elite pass rush. The Steelers have T.J. Watt looking like he’s a game-breaker."

According to the him, citing League scouts and evaluators, one of the red flags for the Patriots is the team’s offensive line which may be vulnerable against the Steelers.

La Canfora added that this potential vulnerability was exposed during the playoffs.

"Well, guess what? They’re playing a first-place schedule this year, and it’s high competition every week, and this Steelers game is imperative for them," the NFL insider said in conclusion.
