Ahead of the first-ever international regular NFL season opener in Australia, when the Los Angeles Rams are taking on the San Francisco 49ers, one NFL expert and analyst reveals some of the challenges the latter team’s ownership is facing.

Jason La Canfora, the experienced NFL reporter, analyst and insider, recently spoke about the 49ers’ principal owner and chief executive officer, Jed York.

In an exclusive interview with Casino Guru News, the NFL insider with more than 20 years of experience said: "Jed York hasn’t been in the Bay Area that much. Jed York recently filed for divorce. Jed York has been spending a lot of time back in Ohio where the family’s roots are near Youngstown, Ohio."

La Canfora continued, outlining that Jed York has been the face of the 49ers for a long time and acting as the owner and decider.

However, the insider added: "He’s (Jed York) not in the building like he used to be, according to numerous sources, and neither is Paraag Marathe, the longtime really head of all business operations there."

La Canfora pointed to Marathe’s central role for the franchise, saying that some people described him as the "brains behind the operation," adding that he oversaw payroll and contract negotiations for rosters, as well as talent acquisition.

While York and Marathe used to be both at the helm, the NFL analyst and insider cited information from industry sources saying that the duo had a "falling out" around the time Marathe filed for his divorce.

After this fallout, Marathe has relocated abroad and is now in charge of the team’s soccer operations, La Canfora added.

In conclusion, he said: "There’s just a lot going on with this franchise right now."
