NFL insider predicts Vikings J.J.McCarthy may be traded before Halloween

This week, the Minnesota Vikings’ new General Manager, Nolan Teasley, spoke about the importance of roster evolution, following the passing of the recent roster reduction line on Sunday.

Notably, Teasley explained that there’s "no finish line" to roster evolution, adding that it "never stops."

Amid rumors about a potential trade of the Vikings’ J.J. McCarthy, the award-winning NFL reporter, insider and analyst, Jason La Canfora, had this to say in an exclusive interview for Casino Guru News: "Minnesota and J.J. McCarthy (know) he doesn’t have a future there. He knows he doesn’t have a future there. They know he doesn’t have a future there."

In the context of McCarthy’s current ankle injury, the expert analyst acknowledged that the Vikings may prefer other quarterbacks than him.

La Canfora highlights that it is unlikely for the team to recoup the value of the former first-round pick saying: "Are they going to get everything in return they’d like for a kid they just took in the first round, in the first half of the first round, not that long ago? No, they’re not, but we saw this happen with Josh Rosen years ago when Arizona took him 10th overall."

The NFL insider added that Rosen was traded a year later and subsequently, he didn’t play very well and got a day two draft pick for him.

Still, La Canfora was skeptical about seeing a day two draft pick for J.J. McCarthy saying: "I’m not sure we’re gonna see a day two draft pick for J.J. McCarthy, but there is a trade to be made with some upside if he actually plays for the team he’s traded to."

In conclusion, the NFL analyst and insider said he doesn’t believe McCarthy will remain with the Vikings until Halloween.
