The Seattle Seahawks, the famous NFL franchise, sold for a record $9.6bn.

The buyers, the Khosla family, officially entered into an agreement to acquire the team this summer, and the sale was formalized only recently.

In this context, one NFL expert, analyst and insider spoke about the potential challenges another NFL franchise is facing, the San Francisco 49ers.

Jason La Canfora, an award-winning NFL writer, insider and analyst with 20+ years of experience, recently addressed upcoming changes that may affect the 49ers.

"Kyle Shanahan’s contract is up after the 2027 season. Kyle Shanahan’s worked very closely with Paraag Marathe and Jed York. Again, the dynamics there have changed," the NFL insider and analyst said in an exclusive interview with Casino Guru News.

He continued: "This is a team (the San Francisco 49ers) that’s getting long in the tooth. It’s getting old in key spots on that roster, and there’s questions being asked around the League, about, frankly, if they’re going to be able to perform to the level that they’re used to."

According to La Canfora, some League experts are asking if Jed York indeed wants to keep such a central role for the franchise on a daily basis or chooses not to.

"What does that mean for the franchise," La Canfora continued, answering that based on his League sources, Jed York’s twin sisters have not "expressed any willingness or want to really run an NFL franchise at this point in time."

The NFL insider and analyst added that some York family members have demonstrated willingness to sell the team, unlike others.

"So, there’s questions about the ownership’s future, how long will this family own this team, and what will Jed York’s role be exactly on a day-to-day basis moving forward," La Canfora said in conclusion.
