NFL insider, analyst and reporter Jason La Canfora discusses the return of Jayden Daniels from injury and reveals the Washington Commanders are in a difficult situation.
"The Commanders didn't go out and do everything they could have for their offensive line," the insider said in an exclusive interview with Casino Guru News.
"They weren't the team that signed Kenneth Walker to help their run game, right," La Canfora continued.
Citing an NFL executive, the insider compared the situation to another franchise, saying: "That was Andy Reid in Kansas City with Patrick Mahomes coming off knee surgery."
Further challenges the Commanders are facing include struggles with a consistent rushing attack, as well as the team's loss of their left tackle, Laremy Tunsil, to injured reserves, La Canfora said.
According to the NFL analyst and insider, under those circumstances, Daniels is "coming back into a desperate situation in a must-win game."
However, La Canfora questioned: "Must-win at what cost?"
The award-winning NFL reporter pointed to league experts, saying some of them believe the Commanders should focus on building a more reliable, high-volume running game instead of depending heavily on quarterback mobility.
"There are people in this league who've espoused to me that the Commanders should really be thinking more about getting the run game going at all costs, that the Commanders shouldn't be 17th in the league in rushing percentage, that the Commanders need to build a team that they're able to stick with the run and have volume and have some explosion, not just with the quarterback, whether that's Mariota, the backup Marcus Mariota, or Jayden Daniels, but through their base concepts and with their running backs," La Canfora said in conclusion.
