Delta Air Lines is stepping up the entertainment onboard its planes through a deal with sports betting firm DraftKings, as confirmed by the companies on Wednesday. The game, aptly called, SkyPicks, has already launched and is available to travelers.
The partnership will see Delta Air Lines offer a "sports game" to travelers while on the plane, and the game itself will be available to anyone who is 21 or older, and comes after than more than a year since it was origianlly announced in early 2025.
However, this partnership will not specifically tie into sports betting, and rather, players will be allowed to play not for real money but the airliner’s signature gift cards.
The title specifically excludes buy-ins or any money that the passengers may need to deposit or risk. The game is part of the Delta Sync Wi-Fi an is meant for purely entertainment purposes only, marking another step towards strengthening amenities onboard America’s airliners.
Delta’s SkyPicks has already introduced its first options for players, with Major League Baseball, and Nationall Football League games to be featured later into the year.
The goal of the game is simple enough: passengers will be taking guesses on which team will win real-world games.
Players may access the game directly through their own devices onboard, but the game won’t be available through the setback screens. To keep things interesting, a lot has been drawn from the most popular sports betting markets available at the operator.
Among those are head-to-head player performance markets, game winners, and more.
SkyPicks will have monthly leaderboards, allowing smart bettors and frequent players to advance for further opportunities to test their sports acumen and prediction prowess.
