An unknown player in Ripley, Tennessee, has become almost one million dollars richer, as they won the Tennessee Lottery Cash draw on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.
The player secured the jackpot draw and fetched the top prize, sitting at $920,000 at the time the actual jackpot was won.
The six-figure winner was not the only person to have one, as a Powerball player scooped a $50,000 ticket by matching four numbers. As to the Cash draw player, though, the lottery was able to provide some information.
The ticket was bought at a Little General, 238 S. Washington St. in Ripley, but no further information has been provided regarding the win.
No further information was released about either of these wins. The lottery may share details once the players have stepped forward to claim their prizes. Tennessee, however, does not allow winners to claim their winnings anonymously or set up trusts to claim the money.
This measure has been criticized over the years, arguing that it endangers the well-being of people who have won large sums. However, the Tennessee Lottery has not backed down and maintains the rule to this very day.
