The Venetian Resort Las Vegas has made history, producing the largest Pai Gow jackpot in its own history, and very well the second-biggest Pai Gow jackpot The Strip has seen since the first casino was founded in the city back in 1931. One lucky player secured the eye-watering $2,211,469 jackpot off a Pai Gow game, scooping up the win on Sunday.
The unexpected outcome was triggered by a $5 side bet that the anonymous guest made, resulting in a seven-card flush which paid the progressive jackpot in one fell swoop. The Venetian did not waste much time and took to social media to boast about turning another player into a millionaire, although not many details were known about the player beforehand.

Pai Gow jackpots have been paid frequently on The Strip with players of all backgrounds securing different amounts. In April, one player secured a $281,000 payout with another Pai Gow prize.
Yet, this year’s closest jackpot to the one won in The Venetian comes from the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, where a player also saw a $1,208,521. Caesars Entertainment confirmed in February that a person had won the seven-figure prize pool playing the popular poker variant.
Last month, another visitor to the Strip from Canada also secured a $219,000 jackpot on a side bet. Pai Gow has been a bit of a niche game in comparative terms, although it has amassed a solid following among players who enjoy poker variants, nevertheless.
The stories of huge jackpots being won at the tables on the Strip are certainly helping extend this narrative.
