One New Jersey resident has had the time of his life, after he found out that they had won north of $500,000 - $600,000 to be precise.
The win occurred in a scratch-off lottery game in the Garden State. This is the third and final grand prize that was available in the game, with the previous winning tickets already claimed in the past.
The player bought a $30 Colossal Crossword ticket and imagined their surprise when they found that they had won a six-figure reward. The winner’s name was not released publicly by the lottery, but details are already available.
The ticket was bought on September 22 at the Manor Sweet Shoppe on Jackson Avenue in Rutherford. As to the game, it’s a fairly new arrival in the lottery’s game library, and it offers prizes from $50 to $25,000, as well as three $600,000 grand payouts.
The Colossal Crossword was first introduced by the NJ Lottery in April this year.
Lottery stories are always interesting and exciting, and while they come down to chance, sometimes they make for a great anecdote.
In Melbourne, Australia, a woman secured an AU$800,000 jackpot after she missed two flights and finally decided to play the lottery following a 39-hour trip back home.
