A seasoned lottery player from Australia nearly missed the good news that she won a life-enhancing six-figure win. Luckily, the woman stopped for a moment and realized that the call notifying her of her AU$200,000 ($132,800) win wasn't a scam.

Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw brings hefty prize to a Sydney woman

On Tuesday, The Lott uncovered details regarding the fortunate winner, an Ingleburn woman who had been playing the lottery for decades.

The fortunate winner held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1743 from Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

As a result, the Ingleburn woman is looking forward to a sweet AU$200,000 ($132,800) prize.

The fortunate woman, whose identity wasn't publicly disclosed, purchased her winning ticket at Ingleburn Fair Newsagency, Shop T17, Ingleburn Village Shopping Centre, located at 100 Macquarie Road in Ingleburn.

The owner of the newsagency outlet that sold the winning ticket, Mahesh Rabadia, explained that it is thrilling to see such a hefty prize won just ahead of Christmas.

Moreover, the shop owner said that for the four years he operated the outlet, four major prize-winning entries have been sold.

While Rabadia confirmed that he will spread the word about the life-enhancing win, he also said he hopes to see more such prizes.

"I’ve never won anything in my entire life. It’s all very exciting"

When an official from The Lott contacted the Ingleburn woman to notify her of the big win, she wasn't sure if that call was legitimate.

"I’m not going to lie, I was very close to hanging up on you, so I’m lucky I didn’t," the woman said.

Moreover, the winner pointed out: "I’m extremely happy with $200,000 - that’s just great. I’ve never won anything in my entire life. It’s all very exciting."

The Ingleburn woman added that she has been playing lottery games for decades.

"This call feels like a long time coming," she added.

As it turns out, the lottery prize came just in time, considering that the fortunate woman was just about to start renovations to her house and according to her, this money will come very handy.

With what remains of the life-enhancing win, the lucky lottery player said she intends to invest it and watch it grow.
