Nearly a dozen people, who engaged in illegal gambling, were arrested following a raid in Chon Buri, Thailand.
The operation was conducted by law enforcement and Immigration Bureau officers on Saturday.
Police conducted surveillance at a luxury residence after receiving a tip about illegal gambling activities.
They used a drone to surveil the luxury estate, which was guarded by security cameras, and uncovered that there were nearly a dozen people inside.
Upon raiding the suspected illegal gambling den, panic broke out with some of the suspects trying to flee the scene, as announced by local media outlets.
In total, police arrested 10 individuals, who allegedly engaged in illegal gambling and detained the ones who tried to leave.
There was one Thai national, who was arrested and is believed to be the organizer of the illegal gambling ring.
Law enforcement also detained one German and one Chinese national, two Finnish and two Danish nationals, as well as three British nationals.
Considering the suspects engaged in illegal gambling, they are facing charges under the Gambling Act in Thailand.
One of the suspects, a British national, is facing an extra charge for staying in the country after the expiry of their visa.
Reportedly, the illegal gambling bust follows a tip from a Chinese man who fled from China to Thailand after he was wanted for selling nitrous oxide.
That person was questioned by Thai police and admitted that he engaged in illegal gambling in the country.
The Chinese man confirmed that the illegal gambling activities didn't take place at a single residence but changed locations every week or so.
Once he was notified about the next location, Thai police quickly followed on the tip and uncovered the illegal gambling den.
On site, police seized cash and chips, while pictures from the raid show suspects lying on the floor and an officer standing next to what appears to be a table for card games.
