Grandmother surprised by life-changing AU$1.8m prize

One regular lottery player felt shocked and stunned after winning a life-changing jackpot.

That's the story of a Kyneton, Australia grandmother, who scored AU$1.8m ($1.2m) from the popular game, TattsLotto.

A total of 11 winners take home AU$1.8m each

The fortunate woman purchased her 12-game winning entry from Collins Authorized News and Lotto on 95 Mollison Street in Kyneton.

Entering TattsLotto draw 4687 on June 20, 2026, she emerged as one of the dozen division one prize winners.

The drawing in question saw winning numbers 22, 14, 6, 21, 9, 3, and supplementary numbers 38 and 20 drawn.

In total, the recent TattsLotto produced 11 division one winning entries, each entitled to a sweet AU$1.8m ($1.2m) prize.

Four of the winning entries were purchased in New South Wales, while three came from Western Australia.

Two division one winning entries were bought in Victoria, while one each came from South Australia and Queensland.

"I’ve been playing since 1972 – a very long time coming"

The fortunate grandmother celebrated a strong start to the week after uncovering that she became a millionaire overnight.

"Woo! That's so exciting! I’m here with my son who has driven over an hour to come help me," the woman explained.

She admitted missing several calls by The Lott early in the morning and decided to go to the newsagency where she purchased her TattsLotto ticket.

"They checked it for me, told me to hold on to it tight, and said I needed to call The Lott," the winner revealed.

Feeling shocked and surprised, the woman said she didn't expect the life-changing prize at all.

"I’ve been playing since 1972 – a very long time coming," the lucky Kyneton woman added.

With the thought of winning the massive prize sinking in, the lucky player said she already has plans for her newfound fortune.

"I've got a big family, so I'll be sharing it," the woman said and thanked the lottery official once again.
