A visitor to The Encore in Las Vegas, Nevada, had a good trip to the Strip this Sunday and walked away a millionaire after the anonymous person bagged nearly $2m in jackpot prizes.

A single $60 wager does the jackpot trick

The win caught the person completely by surprise, fetching them the eye-watering $1,935,806.31 while playing Buffalo Power Pay, an Aristocrat slot game. The win also happened at night – at 1:45 am to a fairly empty gaming floor.

The win occurred on a $60 wager, which is a substantial amount, showing that the person was willing to push their luck and see where it would take them.

Another detail about the player is that he is not a local resident, but an international tourist who will now leave Vegas all the richer. Yet, this story is not entirely out of the ordinary.

Visitors do win big amounts playing at gaming floors in Las Vegas, and deservedly so.

Four hours to win four jackpots and become a millionaire

There have been many interesting stories of big-time winners this year. For example, one lucky guest in April secured four jackpot wins, totalling $1,486,000.

This happened at the Caesars Palace with the guests averaging one jackpot per hour in the four hours they played, first winning $280,000 at 10:50 pm.

At 11:41 pm, the guest hit another jackpot worth $287,500, to be topped up by another win at 1:03 am with $228,500, and the whole thing wrapped up with the biggest jackpot they won – the $690,000 at 2:02 am leaving the casino incredulous.

The player had been playing the Dragon Link game, amassing some serious amounts.
